Hand Tied Bouquets
Where a product is defined as 'hand tied' the bouquet will be
professionally arranged and tied, gift wrapped and presented in a
bubble of water. This is only a temporary water source to ensure your
flowers are never out of water in transit and not intended to replace a
vase. Within a day of arrival we recommend that all packaging is
removed for maximum enjoyment of the flowers. The bubble of water
can be pierced and drained over a sink and the wrapping discarded or
recycled. Do not cut the tie securing the bouquet (unless you want to
re-arrange it your own way!)
Ensure your vase is clean as bacteria from previous
flower water will affect longevity of new flowers. Fill your vase with
fresh water and add the sachet of flower food provided, this helps buds
to open and just gives your flowers a little pep. Now the most
important thing is to cut each stem at a sharp angle directly before placing them in the vase, otherwise the stem
won't draw water right up to the flower head and the results will be
disappointing.
We will send you beautiful, first grade fresh flowers,
but it is up to you to care for them. After all, you wouldn't dream of
putting a cashmere jersey in a hot wash. Please keep flowers away from
radiators and replace the water and re-cut the stems after four days to
ensure maximum vase life.
Vases
Many of our hand tied bouquets have an option to purchase a glass
vase, in which case we will deliver the flowers without the fuss,
already arranged and gift wrapped. This is a more preferable option
than a Hand Tie when sending flowers to hospitals and offices.
Alternatively, choose an arrangement in a container.
Arrangements
Arrangements are creatively designed displays in containers which
are ready to enjoy. The Oasis foam holding the stems needs to be kept
wet. Every two days, top your arrangement up with water (do this over a
sink in case of run-off) and set your arrangement on a mat or cloth to
prevent water damage to wood surfaces.
