Summer School with Mark Pampling

Morna was thrilled to participate in a Summer School in the pretty village of Kippen, arranged by Fusion Flowers magazine in honour of their tenth anniversary.

The 3 day course was taught by Australian superstar floral designer genius and all round nice bloke Mark Pampling, who brought with him some incredible designs and a big bag of endless patience!

Ten floral designers from all over the world watched and listened rapt to everything Mark had to teach, then had a chance to recreate his designs, and add their own spin.

Mark's work is characterised by clean, masculine lines, an uneven distribution of materials and a poised sense of harmonious balance. The exact opposite of Morna's usual style, in fact! But the purpose of Summer School was to learn new techniques and designs and Morna came away bursting with inspiration.
